In yet another issue of Hotel Boom Town, we are happy to announce that the Kinzie Hotel opens today. The four star, 215 room hotel is the latest entry in Chicago's burgeoning hospitality scene. Although the hotel does not add rooms to the growing total number of new hotel rooms planned to open this year, the Kinzie represents a complete aesthetic overhaul from the former (and dated) Amalfi Hotel. Located in River North, just a couple of blocks from Chicago's loop, reps at the Kinzie hope that its bright colors, and historical Chicago theme will win the hearts and dollars of tourists and business travelers.
