Chicago's hotel boom continues full steam as new details regarding the future hotel ambitions of the Rush Street Giordano's have been revealed. The property recently purchased by a developer at Rush and Superior will become not one, but two Hyatt hotels. Crain's reports that the developer plans to include its extended stay Hyatt House brand, along with a mid-tier Hyatt Place in the redevelopment of the property - but don't worry pizza fans, the Giordano's is expected to stay put. The announcement adds one more hotel than expected to the almost absurdly long list of planned hotel developments for River North, although this project is almost certainly expected to tap into the growing Magnificent Mile tourism business. Are two hotels at this location one too many?
