Today will forever known as the day the Chiberia 2014 dibs died. Reps from the city's Department of Streets and Sanitation are cruising through the neighborhoods picking up the fallen soldiers of the city-wide neighborhood dibs battles that began during the polar vortex and ends today. Some ward offices are also participating in the effort, sending trucks around to claim abandoned items in the city's parkways and side streets. As John Lennon once famously sang, "Dibs are over if you want", or something like that.
