The Chicago Loop Alliance, a group of business and civic leaders, has recently unveiled their new "Loop Placemaking Initiative", a plan to redevelop public spaces in the loop. According to the organization there are over 150 underutilized public spaces in the city, and the group wants to add art installations, bright outdoor furniture, music and flowers to make residents and tourist jump for joy when passing by these spaces.
