The upcoming Bennett Day School in the West Loop is now officially underway. A reader has sent in a photo of heavy equipment clearing out the lot where the new school will be built. In a huge preservation move, the leadership at Bennett Day School announced in July that the school would save and renovate the old Chicago Commons building at 955 W. Grand to use as a part of its new Junior K-8 campus. In addition to repurposing the Chicago Commons building, the campus will include a new full-sized gymnasium and feature over 10,000 square feet of green space.
