London Guarantee Hotel Renovation Now Has a $66M Price Tag

New, 1 comment

A recent permit issued for renovation work at the London Guarantee Building at 360 North Michigan Avenue places a $66 million price tag on the transformation of the 23-story historic building. Oxford Capital's plans for one of the original Michigan Avenue Bridge anchors, a Beaux Arts beauty by Alfred Alschuler, includes retail and a lifestyle hotel. This joins the slew of new upscale hotel projects that will transform the city's hospitality landscape over the next few years.

The permit lists Michael Kaufman of Goettsch Partners as the lead architect. Kaufman has recently worked on the Bienen School of Music building in Evanston, the Wrigley Building renovation of the Wrigley Building and the Hyatt McCormick Place expansion. He also was lead for the Langham Hotel renovation of Mies' IBM Building.
