After signing an eight year, $84 million contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this year, team captain Jonathan Toews has upgraded from his former Lakeshore East condo, to a more spacious and pricey Lincoln Park home, the Tribune reports. Toews officially closed on the deal mid-November and purchased the five bedroom, five bathroom home from former Groupon exec Jeff Holden for $3.5 million. And with 6,400 square feet of space, there will be more than enough room for Toews to spread out. Built in 2001, the home has been updated and sports all new finishes, as well as an elevator, a Sonos audio system and a ginormous rooftop deck with a fireplace and grill. Toews joins Joakim Noah as another high-profile Chicago athlete to relocate to the Lincoln Park neighborhood this year.
