In case you haven't noticed by now, Chicago is truly in the midst of another building boom. The number of construction permits issued by the city has skyrocketed this year, meaning that number of construction jobs has also dramatically improved. As of last month, the Chicago metro area ranked third in the nation for its growth in construction jobs over the last 12 months. [Sun-Times]
