Adventures in Architecture

The Chicago Architecture Biennial's just-announced design competition asks architects to hit the beach and create a new lakefront kiosk. As we've seen with a certain museum project, lakefront construction can feel like treading on sacred ground, so this call for entires offers a unique, samll-scale way to add a new look to an iconic part of Chicago. Entries are due March 23; the winner will receive a $10,000 honorarium for development and a budget of $75,000 to realize their design. [Chicago Architectural Biennial]
