Chicago Spire developers are quietly looking at an alternative location in Chicago to built the Spire.
In case it wasn't stated clearly enough yet, we'll state it bluntly this time: the Chicago Spire is dead. Related Midwest now controls the site, and although the developer has promised an architecturally significant project for the site, there is no chance that Related will move forward with the Spire project as planned. And as far as the Spire developers looking for an alternative location in Chicago for the 2,000 foot tall building? That's just crazy talk.
