At $15.5M This Three-Level Penthouse Becomes Chicago's Priciest Condo Listing of 2014

New, 2 comments

In just seven days, there has been been not one, not two, but three condo listings over $10 million hit the market in downtown Chicago. A week ago, a raw 12,500 square foot duplex residence at Lincoln Park 2550 entered the market at $13 million, becoming this year's priciest condo listing. However, it didn't take long to be dethroned as just days later, this three-level penthouse sandwiched between Lake Shore Drive and the Mag Mile listed for a whopping $15.5 million. In addition to these two, another raw space, this time at the Ritz-Carlton Residences joined the $10+ million plus club and hit the market with an $11.2 million ask.

The city's priciest condo listing comes in the form of a three-level, 7,662 square foot space with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. To say the least, the finishes are very opulent (not brokerbabble opulent, but like, actually opulent) and the unit features over 3,000 square feet of private outdoor space, a solarium, and parking for five vehicles included in the price. And what's the monthly assessment you're asking? $9,255 per month.

The shake up in the city's top 25 priciest listings continues, as just in the last week alone, three ultra-luxury contenders have joined the top ten. This three-level Lake Shore Drive penthouse has now become the city's third most expensive listing overall, with Ann Lurie's Gold Coast mansion and the duplex penthouse at Lincoln Park 2550 following it.
