In a not-so-surprising move, today the Cubs have launched a number of online auctions for Wrigley Field fans to own a piece of the now demolished outfield bleachers. Currently, the Cubs have auctions for aisle placards and sections of the actual bleacher benches. Bidding for aisle placards start off at $85 and ends at the end of the week, however a bleacher section is currently priced at $150 and will continue taking bids until the end of the year.

The items will have holograms identifying their authenticity, and will make for a perfect companion to your Old Style sign in the basement. The team will reuse some materials of the demolished outfield for the new bleacher construction, however some of the non-reusable bits will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. With the holiday season coming up, there's no other gift that will make the Cubbie fan in your family both equally happy and sad at the same time than owning a piece of the old Friendly Confines.
