Structured Development, the developer of the humungous $260 million New City megaproject in Lincoln Park wants to keep the momentum going along the Clybourn Corridor and may soon have another couple of projects on the way, Crain's reports. Structured has recently agreed to acquire the large 130,000 square foot Anixter Center building on Clybourn Avenue, but has not yet decided what the property will be used for. According to Crain's, the developer has indicated that the building could become office and retail space, or it could be completely demo'd and a new project could take its place.
The developer has also recently entered into an agreement with Big Deahl Productions to possibly redevelop a two acre site near 1450 N Dayton Street. With nearby Goose Island on track for a dramatic makeover, developers are scooping up anything that is left along the Clybourn Corridor to bring more retail, offices and perhaps residences to the area.
