$389K Gets This 1,650ft² Loft Off of the Bloomingdale Trail

New, 1 comment

While the 606 trail won't officially open until next summer, developers are rushing to stake claims on properties along the former rail line turned pedestrian and cycling path and looking to add a number of new apartments to the greater Bucktown, Wicker Park and Logan Square areas. However, there are still plenty of opportunities to buy a place right off of the new trail line for a reasonable sum. This 1,650 square foot two bedroom, two bathroom timber loft with a parking spot is located near the eastern trail head and can be had for $389,750 plus $400/month for HOA dues. The loft last sold in 2007 for $377,000, so considering the new ask is just a small amount more, a place like this may become even more desirable once the trail has been completed and open to the public.
