The Damen Blue Line station is closed as of today, and will remain closed until December 22 while it undergoes renovations and maintenance. The CTA advises using the Western or Division stops, which can be reached from Damen via the #56 bus. The full extent of the renovations can be read about here, and include more turnstiles, restoration of historic features of the platform, new lighting and flooring, and lots more. The CTA has been pretty busy lately with track repairs and station renovations, in effort to keep the city moving.
