The Chicago Cubs have moved forward with their massive $575 million renovation plan and now the demolition of Wrigley Field's bleachers is well underway. The North Side team officially kicked off construction at the century-old Wrigley Field at the end of September, and yesterday excavators began chewing away at the stadium's bleachers to make way for newer, larger seating areas. Construction will continue throughout the winter and spring, and the Cubs expect to have the bleacher expansion completed by Opening Day 2015.
