Hospital Building Once Raided By FBI Sells for a Mere $250K

Last April, the owner of Sacred Heart Hospital on the West Side was arrested for a kickback scheme which involved doctors taking cash for referring patients on Medicare and Medicaid to the hospital. (The hospital took in millions from this scheme). Today, Crain's announced that the the main building at 3240 W. Franklin Blvd., plus a few adjoining plots sold for just $250,000. The buyer, APGME Corp, is considering demo for the scandal-riddled structure and may build a facility for primary care or outpatient services or an oncology center.
