Boutique Chain Hotel Gets Makeover As Another Boutique Chain

New, 5 comments

The Four Points by Sheraton hotel on Rush Street is going to receive a makeover. It will be converted to a 217 room AC Hotel from Marriott, a competing boutique brand of yet another large national chain. The AC Hotel line began in Spain but merged with Marriott and reps hope that the Euro styling and supposed "urban" feel of the hotel will lure younger business travelers to stay at the AC in Chicago. No word yet on when the conversion process will begin however one can only assume that River North's chain hotels are feeling the pressure to up their game with a whole wave of new hotels opening in the area this year.
