Several Congressional reps gathered today to announce legislation that would make Chicago's Pullman District the city's first National Park. The neighborhood, former site of railcar manufacturer Pullman Co. is already a city, state and US designated landmark. The site has been largely preserved over many decades and representatives deem its history and architecture significant for National Park status. [Sun-Times]
