Charter School Watch

Chicago's Board of Education has approved plans for seven new charter schools to open over the next two years. As expected, the move is causing controversy as CPS closed 52 public schools just this past summer. The city expects to open 60 new charter schools between 2012 and 2017. This leaves a big question mark as to what will happen to the sites of the 52 shuttered schools. [Sun-Times]
