Newborn Optima Center Opens to General Public in October

New, 15 comments

The grand opening for the 42-story Optima Center Chicago apartment building is coming the weekend of October 5-6. On those dates, the David Hovey-developed-and-designed tower will splay open to the curious public with model units and common spaces to tour. The distinctive black-and-blue glass building brings 325 apartments to Streeterville, which have been leasing since July. Today's press release restates the pricing: convertibles from $1,960 to $2,542 a month; one-beds from $2,011 to $4,563; two-beds from $2,944 to $4,704; and three-beds from $4,744 to $5,474. Penthouses? Yep, there are two— each priced above $10K/month. Head here for your interior pics and floorplans. For a good picture of the building's amenities, services, and setting, we recommend turning to YoChicago's profile. The press release also confirms Optima's steadfast desire to develop the neighboring acre parcel at 220 E Illinois into an even larger tower— 57 stories, 400 apartments, and 200 hotel rooms.
