Famed Chicago architect and out-of-the-box urban thinker Stanley Tigerman is receiving the lifetime achievement award from the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Tigerman wants everyone to know he's not dead yet, and is very much engaged in the ethical, environmental, and technological challenges that architects and architecture face. In an interview with Chicago Grid, Tigerman talks about his firm Tigerman McCurry Architects, his badmouthing of the AIA, and his loathing of branding and marketing in the profession.
