Neighborhood NIMBYs spoke their piece against Parkview Developers' OUT Hotel proposal for 3343 N Halsted over the past few months, and now Ald. Tom Tunney (14th) has weighed in. Tunney came down firmly on the opposition's side, contesting the scale, density, and location of the eight-story hotel. As Tunney staffer Erin Duffy tells DNAinfo, "The alderman would like them to look at other locations in the neighborhood and change the design to be more cohesive." Parkview and architect Jackie Koo had pushed their revised plan hard, scaling down from 12 stories and softening the building's edges. [DNAinfo, previously]
