The decommissioned Town Hall police station at 3600 N Halsted has been designated a City of Chicago landmark. The striking Classical Revival building, born in 1907, sits on the site of the old Lake View Township Town Hall. Heartland Housing will incorporate it into their approved LGBTQ senior housing development of 79 units. The development will preserve the exterior of the police station while rebuilding the interior and adding a neighboring six-story building.
