Progress at Eataly Building

New, 9 comments

A reader passed along an update and this rendering of the forthcoming New York Italian import Eataly at Wabash and Ohio. Our source, who works near the site, says the project appears to have moved beyond the demo stage and into structural work on the inside and outside of the building, as well as work with wiring and HVAC systems.

The popular food hall, which is set to open this fall, will be moving into ESPN Zone's more than 60,000-square-foot former space. Celeb chef Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and company's second location after its Manhattan flagship has gotten plenty of buzz and coverage from Curbed Chicago's sister site, Eater Chicago, and from the looks of it, things are moving along nicely.

What do you think, readers? Getting hungry?
