CTA Watch: Loyola Station

New, 2 comments

$20M worth of rehab and upgrades to the Loyola Red Line Station is complete, just in time for an onslaught of destructive college kids. The station and viaduct are much improved, but the banner component is the new entry plaza— an attractive open space free of visual pollution (i.e. the McDonald's once intended to border the space) and offering seating, ground lighting, and gardens. Chicago Now's CTA Tattler column has pics of the space. [Chicago Now, previously]
