Fourteen weeks after leasing began at 500 Lake Shore Drive, the 47-story, 500-unit tower has eclipsed the 50% leased mark. To celebrate, Related Midwest has "released" four levels of "penthouse" units. The liberally-defined penthouses own the best views but range widely in size, with finishes on floors 44-46 that match those on lower floors. The 47th floor units carry special finishes and 13' ceilings, and the rents are special too: $10,500 for the two-bed and $18,000 for the crowing three-bed.
