A consort of angry Bucktown residents is gathering Wednesday to rail against the skate park coming to a rebuilt Walsh Park at the Ashland end of the Bloomingdale Trail (excuse us, The 606). While conceding the trail project and access park improvements will boost property values, leader of the anti-skateboard pack John Knoerle doesn't want the noise, chaos, or criminal element that, apparently, is endemic to the skating population. He has a petition. In Knoerle's estimation, "It will be like living along the bike trail on the beach." [Steven Can Plan, Bloomingdale Trail coverage]
