Huge Turn-of-the-Century Andersonville Tudor Asks $1.695M

New, 16 comments

A Berkeley Brandt-designed "king-sized Tudor" has listed for sale in swinging Andersonville. It's on display today for its singularity in an area of handsome four squares, Victorians, and small apartment buildings. Brandt working in Chicago from around 1910 to 1920 before bolting for sunny California. This particular 1911 design scored a National Register of Historic Places citation and its commanding stance on an oversized corner lot and gorgeously preserved interiors are awfully persuasive. The 5,200-square-foot five-bed has hardwood floors and wood-beamed ceilings, pocket doors, window seats, grand fireplace, and a master suite w/ two closets and jacuzzi. Improvements include the high-end kitchen, media room, finished basement, sliding door to the yard, an "nanny suite" with kitchenette on the top floor. Good stuff. The initial ask: $1.695M.
