With absolutely no intention of doing so, we've found ourselves on a Midcentury Modern diet. After the I.M. Pei find from earlier today, this West Rogers Park abode feels like an afterthought. But what it lacks in starchitect lineage it makes up for in quaint livability. There's only been one owner of this 1953 three-bed, and that person has kept the home and its lot in prized condition: half of the rooms are wood-paneled; furnishings are consistently MCM; built-ins include a desk, cabinet, and breakfast bar; the dining room has a sweet little floating fireplace; and front and back yards, though small, are neatly landscaped. Oh, and there's a 2-car garage. Not bad for $315K.
