We may be looking at a demolition shot, but this iconic Jazz Age playground endured a gradual demise before its removal in the early 1970s. The cluster of buildings, built by a prolific local architecture firm, thrived until the mid-1950s when eminent domain played a part in the physical severing of the development and the separating of its uses. Importantly, the western piece—with better neighborhood access— remains as apartments. Do your job, clever readers.
