Developer States Intent for 45-Story Tower at Michigan & Lake

New, 42 comments

John Buck, partnered with Hard Rock Hotel owner Becker Ventures, is firming up rumors of a new residential tower at 200-214 N Michigan Avenue. Crain's detected a zoning application filed last week that calls for a 45-story tower with 432 rental units. bKL Architecture has been chosen to design the building. It'll be interesting to see how closely the design cleaves to bKL's glassy Wolf Point tower— first on the menu for the intensive development of that historic riverfront site. Furthering the facelift of a dowdy stretch of Michigan is this new proposal, a stone's throw from the topped-out 73 E Lake rental tower and the Virgin and London Guarantee hotel conversions. Stay tuned!
