The League of Awesome Possibilities was formed by Ravenswood resident Melanie Kahl almost a year ago to drive community engagement in economic development. Instead of reacting to top-down plans for big-box retail or big apartment buildings, as usually happens, the League awakens neighbors to the "possibility of space". A "possibility potluck" is one tool, whereby constructive gatherings occupy vacant storefronts. Lawrence west of Ashland is the current target but the League's interests lie beyond. Attend a potluck or submit your ideas via Neighborland. [DNAinfo, official site]
