Arkadia Tower Foundation Work Set To Launch in Greektown

New, 39 comments

The City has issued a work permit for foundation and utility construction at 765 W Adams, future site of Arkadia Tower. Observers detected the beginnings of work in late June but this permit arrived on Friday (h/t: Skyscraper Page's marothisu). The recently rebranded Arkadia Tower will climb 33 stories with 350 apartments and 356 parking spaces in a 5-story parking podium. Twenty-thousand square feet of street level retail will help tame the garage, but this is still fast becoming a neighborhood of podiums. The Greek motif is rampant in the building's design: blue and white, with a collection of frolicking figures offering itself as a gateway to the district. Guess the ridicule hasn't been loud enough. White Oak Realty is the developer with FitzGerald Associates as architect. FitzGerald is also involved in the 50-story One South Halsted apartment tower, approved for construction two blocks north.
