Hey now, here's that six-figure Palmolive condo you've been waiting for. While many of the Art Deco building's listed units reach well into the millions, an 11th-floor 2-bed just dipped to $999,999 after a quick succession of price chops. Hitting the market in October 2011 for $1.25M, that ask held until last month when the listing's steely demeanor finally broke. We get it, it's hard to lower expectations once you've put forth such ramblings as: "New interior construction offer finest standard finishes ever seen in Chicago." And, "Enter the dramatic silver foyer to the perfect home." That "silver foyer" has a decent paint job and that's about it. Quality finishes have indeed been applied throughout the 1,500-square-foot condo, anchored by new paint, new hardwood floors, a modern kitchen, and a marble master bathroom. And yet, the same renovated product sold in 2010 for $789K. Let's see if the market is friendlier to a more grounded ask.
