Bike Share

John Greenfield pens a review of the Divvy Bike Share launch last weekend. It explicitly details the ups and downs of the system as users see it. By the close of the weekend, 4,123 Divvy trips had been taken across the initial 68 stations (set to reach 400). Contrary to the overwhelmingly negative portrayal of the system by The Tribune's Jon Hilkevitch, the riders Greenfield spoke with had mostly kind words, especially once the system's intended purpose was explained (that it's not a leisure system but one meant for short trips that replace the need for a train or car). Fondness for our newest public amenity was tempered by glitches with the station locator app and at least one station itself. But they don't appear to be unfixable or unforgivable.
