Ex-Bulls Forward Charles Oakley Parts With South Loop Condo

Former Chicago Bulls bruiser and 19-year NBA veteran Charles Oakley took a modest loss on his South Loop condo, which sold a couple weeks ago for $900K. The Tribune's Bob Goldsborough had the intel. Oakley purchased the 3/3 NE corner unit for $950K in 2005. The 10th-floor space measures about 2,300 square feet with unobstructed views of Museum Park, Grant Park, and the lake — with solid skyline views to boot. The home has floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, two en suite bathrooms, and a balcony. Oakley first listed the unit in summer 2011 for $979,900, but alas, the ask tumbled like a small forward on the block. The condo building, at 233 E 13th Street, has more than adequate amenities (outdoor pool, sun deck, gym, door staff) in case you wish to cozy up to Oakley's lost real estate.
