The Google relocation rumors from a year ago are attaining believability now that Crain's is reporting the tech giant is in talks with Sterling Bay over anchoring the developer's Fulton Market Cold Storage office makeover. Dubbed "1K Fulton", the highly-visible conversion project at Fulton & Morgan will deliver 565,000 square feet of leasable space (one-third of which will be in a new adjacent structure). Ostensibly, Google is interested in around 200,000 square feet with the potential for expansion to 300,000. Google's sales arm currently has more than 500 workers planted in River North, but that lease expires at the end of 2015 and the company is known to be after more space. [Crain's, previously]
