Want a place to air your unique perspective on an apartment building, a place where many have come to gripe or make sport of reading others' disgruntled reviews? The newish website DoNotRent.com is your place. Chicago Mag's Dennis Rodkin catches up with Chicago-based founder Mike Cerny, who insists the site strives for balanced reviews despite the one-sided slant of its name. Even with a national presence, the site's startup phase has been pretty sluggish. It has about 2,000 reviews and 2,400 users, and needs a good bit more to attract big ad dollars. Seems like Cerny should just embrace negativity and let this become a cautionary forum for the savvy renter. It might not be trustworthy but it would be hilarious. [Chicago Mag]
