Officials hope a scenic bike tour might change attitudes about one Chicago neighborhood, DNAInfo reports. Ald. Toni Foulkes will lead participants on a free tour of West Englewood landmarks and new construction homes June 22 with the intent of softening popular views of the "rough" South Side. Riders 18 and under would be required to have an adult accompanying them and "a police escort would be provided for the tour from the 7th District police station." The president of the Sustainable Englewood Initiative is on board, telling DNAInfo he'd like to see such events take place monthly throughout the summer. Interested in joining in? The tour will kick off at the Bread of Life Missionary Baptist Chuch at 9 a.m. BYO(Bike)! [DNAinfo, photo: Ogden Park pool]
