We're on a mission to ensure Vince Vaughn doesn't generate all the hoopla at the Palmolive Building. This seventh-floor two-bed, with custom designs by Alessandra Branca, is our vehicle of choice and has been for a couple of years. At first, it drew us in with great decor and an unseemly asking price of $4.5M. Then mighty price chops began arriving, the last one — prior to this week — coming in September. At the approximate pricechopping rate of $500K every seven months, the place will be free in three-and-a-half years. There's may be some psychological advantage for the listing in now being below $3M and under $1,000/sf. The 3,100 square-foot unit's design is whimsical but very warm, and the amenity count is high. Unfortunately, so is the assessment: $2,408/month.
