Developer Greg Merdinger will soon be rolling out Ravenswood Terrace, a 150-unit low-rise apartment complex adjoining the Ravenswood Station commercial center now under construction at Lawrence & Ravenswood. The project, consisting of three 3-story attached townhouse structures and two-five story buildings, will park at the northern edge of the retail area, both of which hug the Metra tracks (with the Brown Line a few blocks away). Nevertheless, there will be 111 surface parking spaces in addition to whatever Mariano's and company supply. So much for the site's transit advantages. A building permit was issued for foundation work at the end of April (h/t: Skyscraper Page user marothisu). The development was to have 162 units and building heights of up to six stories before being eased back. And Magellan Development once proposed an 11-story condo tower, humbled by local opposition. But hey, for a time there was no certainty of any residential component.
