Polls

A Tribune/WGN poll has allowed Chicagoans to weigh in on two urban development matters: the Wrigley Field renovation and the possibility of a city casino. Respondents split on both debates, with slightly greater numbers siding with the Ricketts' interests over those of the rooftop owners and a plurality saying yes to a Chicago casino in principle. Airport slots earned a similar reception. Voter fatigue has beset the Wrigley affair: 51% voiced no opinion. The casino question has been put to citizens repeatedly over the past few years and the general behavior has been to hedge bets: an October poll had the numbers flipped with slightly more coming out against a city casino.
