In concert with a resurgence in West Town/Wicker Park/Bucktown new home construction (see here and here), twin $1.5M side-by-side Shakespeare Ave new-builds found buyers in the last couple weeks. Dennis Rodkin plays up the Shakespearian Comedy of Errors connection in every loosely applicable sense: mainly in the "sibling rivalry" that characterized the path to sale. The nearly identical homes (with facade variations) went to market more than a year apart, with considerable price collapse for the first, but sold at the same time. Deal Estate has more.
