The 112-room Out Hotel planned for the 3300 block of North Halsted was presented to neighbors Thursday evening, and it drew a packed house. The Lakeview Patch reports that several outspoken attendees decried the 10-story design as "hulking," "preposterous," and "monstrous" with traffic congestion and property values at the front of their minds. But project lead Ian Reisner of Parkview Developers stressed how critical an economic anchor he believes the hotel will be for Boystown, which is contending with recent business out-migration.
