Martin Lapointe, the former Blackhawks player and member of two Stanley Cup-winning Detroit Red Wings squads, has just listed his seven-bed Hinsdale house for $3.5M. According to BlockShopper, Lapointe bought the 2008 home from the builder for $2.85M in May of 2011. It measures a healthy 5,800 square feet with an old and austere presence. There are six-and-a-half baths, matching up nicely with the beds, and a host of rec spaces with ping pong, air hockey, arcade games, and full weight room. In the pursuit of quiet time, there's a lovely paneled office and a sunroom with fireplace. A large wine cellar (nicely stocked, we might add) fuels it all. Somehow, this all adds up to "Hollywood glamour personified". A respected enforcer in his three seasons with the Hawks, Lapointe came back as a pro scout in 2009 and signed on with the Montreal Canadiens as Director of Player Development in 2012. There may not be any more Chicago is his future.
