Another Cathedral-Ceilinged Condo Lists At Vintage Building Known For Cathedral Ceilings

New, 9 comments

In the 1924 Fugard & Knapp building on Cedar just east of State, there's a wealth of condos with double-height ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and interior balconies. One more just joined the listing cavalcade. The second-floor 2/2.5 looks a lot like its neighbor, still on the market for $995K. They're of the same dimensions on the same floor with the same features, but the new-to-market unit is asking just $800K. We prefer the feel of this unit's auxiliary spaces— those tucked away rooms with normal ceiling heights and plain finishes. A faux-stone stairway leads to two such marvels, the en suite bedrooms. Oh yeah, and there's also the "faux-paint ceiling relief" which just looks like plaster work to us. The $1,555 monthly assessment includes insurance and utilities.
