The Tribune has been compiling a photo document of the Wells Street Bridge reconstruction, which began last fall but has recently ratcheted up. Yesterday saw the arrival of a huge new replacement segment via river barge. Hop on over to the photo gallery to see steel workers swarming the bridge and floating mass in yesterday's wet flurries. Traffic disruptions began in November, and the Brown Line has windows of operation as workers prepare to hoist and attach the new segment. The time to beat: 48 hours, back in 1921.
