Large Hancock One-Bed A Candy Cane & Floral Print Disaster

New, 14 comments

Whoa! Given the Hancock's 1970's construction, long-term residents never fail to keep us reminiscing with decade appropriate designs. This 54th-floor north facing one-bed offers something a little different. Jade green carpet intrudes the living, dining, and bedroom space. Adding to the grassy oasis carpeting are variations of floral wallpaper, appropriately matched bedding, and furniture pieces likely not found in furniture stores today. Even the "sky terrace" features a busy cross-hatched green wallpaper that detracts from the "unobstructed city and shoreline views". Break away from your meadows day dream and take a step into the almost retro-chic kitchen, red and white candy cane wallpaper and oven-microwave combo still intact. Minus the floral fiasco, all the red and green make for a very festive theme. As one of the larger one-bedroom floor plans in the building—around 1,100 square feet—this unit offers a nicely spaced home with fantastic views, not to mention numerous building amenities at a recently reduced ask of $324K, if green is your thing.
