A New Deal mural commissioned for a former Post Office building in Park Ridge has been fully restored and will return to the public domain later this month. The 6' x 20' work was shelved in disrepair for 40 years. WBEZ writes that the panoramic historical mural, designed by George Melville Smith and entitled "Indians Cede The Land", will have a new home at the Park Ridge Public Library. Yay for campy art!
